Position Title: Administrative Specialist CL2: Facilities Management (2 positions) Campus: Gorham City, State: Gorham ME Department: Dir Facilities Management - PDFMD Bargaining Unit: COLT Salary Band/Wage Band: B22, $14.72/hr Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., evenings & weekends as necessary Statement of Job:

These Administrative Specialist positions pay $14.72/hour (non-negotiable) and are based on USM's Gorham Campus.  Standard hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

These positions are primary points of contact for the Facilities Management department and we are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic about customer service and passionate about supporting prospective and current students, faculty and staff members, and members of the USM community.  This position will perform a wide variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations, including communication, data entry, and participating on special projects.   

The ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work independently and in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail are essential. The successful candidates will be proactive, well-organized individuals with excellent written, phone and verbal communication skills.  The Department utilizes various data systems and web platforms and requires the ability to navigate such systems.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and sufficient experience, including two years administrative support experience.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Customer Service Experience.
  • Experience maintaining electronic records, files, and databases.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multiple priority environment while working well with others.
