This is a temporary assignment that will end when funding or hours is exhausted. Pay is $18-$21/hour depending on education and experience.
The Family Development Center (FDC) at Governors State University is a NAEYC Accredited Early Childhood Program providing lab-quality education and care for children ages six weeks to eight years old in our infant, preschool, and school-age programs. The mission of the FDC is to provide an exceptional education that implements best practices for children, an innovative learning environment for GSU students, and a network of support for the families we serve.
The PreK teacher works together with a classroom paraprofessional to implement a developmentally appropriate preschool center-based program in compliance with applicable ISBE Preschool For All, DCFS Rule 407, and NAEYC accreditation standards.
