Reporting to the Director of Development for the Foundation Department, the Senior Accountant performs advance level professional accounting activities. A Senior Accountant is responsible for examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting systems, records, and reports by applying general accepted accounting principles to modify and maintain the department's accounting systems, prepare financial reports or statements, and give fiscal advice to management. The Senior Accountant prepares detailed accounting reports, schedules, and statements including annual audit work-papers for management and external and legislative auditors. Interprets and recommends actions to be taken.
At least 3 years in nonprofit or private accounting.
