Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of Speech Instructor. The Speech Instructor will be dedicated to student success and to meeting the diverse needs of our students in the Arts and Sciences Division. Applicants should possess expertise in the field of pubic speaking and interpersonal communication and have a desire to work in a collaborative, learning-centered environment focused on student learning and success. Coursework for the Speech Instructor may include, but is not limited to courses such as: Introduction to Speech, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication.
The successful candidate will begin employment January 2022.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Speech and/or Communications (coursework may include courses with prefixes such as SPC or COMM in order to be credentialed for this role).
Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in a community college; successful experience using a variety of active and collaborative learning strategies; experience implementing innovative assessments to measure student learning; and a demonstrated track record showing regular professional development around their teaching and the discipline of Speech.
