About the role

Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Duncan Bentley, and as a member of the Vice-Chancellor's Senior Team (VCST) you will play a significant leadership and management role within the University; accountable for the overall strategic leadership and management of the Academic Portfolio.
You will lead the re-imagination of Federation University's offerings and delivery in accordance with the Strategic Plan. You will establish Federation as Australia's leading community-embedded university with co-created learning in workplaces to meet regional skills shortages and campus-based employment precincts showcasing the future of work. You will lead redesign of a digital learning ecosystem focused on a lifelong learner experience, increasing access to learning opportunities for the communities we serve.

This senior academic leadership role will require the appointee to have significant university management, leadership and commercial experience and acumen. You will possess the academic credibility and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve the University strategy. You will bring an approach that is collaborative, empowering, innovative and inclusive, with the skills necessary to advocate for and represent the University at the highest level.
