Position Title: Part-time Faculty - Nursing 602 Fall 2021 Campus: All USM locations City, State: Portland, ME Department: School of Nursing - PCON Bargaining Unit: PATFA Statement of Job:

The School of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine invites applications for a Part Time Faculty position in the graduate nursing program to co-instruct NUR 602 Advanced Health Assessment Lab.  This course is offered on the Portland Campus of the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday mornings this fall semester.

Responsibilities include co-teaching the health assessment lab, evaluation of graduate students in the completion of 3 objective structured clinical exams (OSCE) and other requirements as agreed upon with lead faculty.  Part time faculty members are paid on a credit hour basis based on prior college teaching experience. In addition, USM employees have access to the library, Cigna Employee Assistance Plan, and fitness center (s) with their USM Card. USM also offers Part time faculty the opportunity for development through the Center for Collaboration and Development (CCD), the chance to get online teaching certification and training through CTEL, in addition to other development opportunities open to all staff throughout the year.

 

Qualifications:

Required: MS in nursing with APRN certification and licensure. Current active Maine RN and APRN license, able to meet employment criteria including background check.
