Part-Time Application Reader (Remote)

Department Statement:

Remote Part-Time Readers for the Colgate Office of Admission will be asked to conduct a number of tasks associated with application review. Most common tasks include: computing and gathering quantitative data on applicants; conducting a holistic applicant review alongside a reading partner.

Work Schedule:
Must be available for a scheduled 20-25 hours between the hours of8am-5pm (EST) Monday through Friday,and occasional weekend assignments from mid-October through March 31, 2021.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Candidates must have their own computer and a stable internet connection.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least one year of experience with application review.
  • Ideal candidates will have strong math skills and organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of non-US educational systems and curriculums, experience reviewing international credentials is recommended.
  • Collaborative work experience and the ability to work with confidential information are essential.
  • Must be available for a scheduled 20-25 hours between the hours of 8am-5pm (EST) Monday through Friday, and occasional weekend assignments from mid-October through March 31, 2021.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appreciation of the liberal arts philosophy and/or previous volunteer or employment experience in the liberal arts will be considered a plus.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
