Job Description

Position Introduction
Develop, plan, and coordinate classes and activities in community program areas of Personal Development and Kids & College, within the Workforce Development Division.
The Personal Development Program offers a variety of classes and workshops designed to provide learning opportunities and to enhance quality of life.
The Kids & College Program provides quality academic STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) classes for students entering grades 1-9. 
Position Summary
Develop and manage the Personal Development and Kids & College programs 
Reports to Director of Community Education
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
·         Development and management of Personal Development and Kids & College programs
o    Develop noncredit classes and camps
o    Coordinate scheduling, onboarding, communication, and payment for program instructors
o    Coordinate on-campus room assignments
o    Coordinate required instructional support such as A.V. equipment, books, supplies, etc.
o    Develop and monitor system for assessing/evaluating teaching and learner satisfaction
·         Responsible for revenue generation in alignment with margin expectations
·         Research topics and trends to ensure course selections are in-demand and responsive to community needs and in alignment with College priorities
·         Collaborate with the Office of Marketing and Public Relations to promote program offerings
·         Monitor progress of programs including enrollment, revenue, budget, cancellation rate, and evaluation process.
·         Participate in professional development organizations such as the Regional Consultative Council and Illinois Council for Continuing Education and Training
·         Serve on college-wide committees, as assigned
·         Participate in community events, as needed, for the purposes of assessing needs of community, evaluating program effectiveness, and marketing
·         Attend external meetings and conferences related to position, as assigned
·         Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
·         Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Required Education Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution
Other Required Qualifications
·     Three years of progressive work experience
Desired Qualifications
·         Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
·         Three years of experience in program development and coordination
·         Verbal and written fluency in Spanish
Skills and Specifications
·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Insightly customer relationship management software, Lumens noncredit registration system, and Colleague ERP
·         Ability to learn technological applications
·         Professional and ethical behavior with understanding of student confidentiality
·         Excellent writing skills, demonstrating accuracy, creativity, and persuasiveness
·         Strong verbal communication skills
·         Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
·         Strong record of creativity and innovation
·         Self-starter, able to work independently
