Teaches education courses in primary areas of early childhood education and field supervision demonstrating a variety of effective teaching strategies. Provides classroom instruction in literacy and special education, among others. Advises 25 students. Participates in school and college-wide service, and engages in research.
Doctorate preferred, Master required. Experience in PK-12 education, including early education. Expertise in early education, literacy, special education and supervising student teachers. Commitment to inclusive education and developing cultural competency among teacher candidates. Active pursuit of professional and/or academic scholarship. Demonstrated ability to mentor students; Evidence of a commitment to service. Active participation in professional organizations.
