Position Summary Under the direction of the CIO, provide project management oversight of Information Technology projects, including project status reporting and communication both internally within IT and externally with project stakeholders. Administer project management tools, project inventory, and project documentation. Reports to Chief Information Officer Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Manage key IT projects as directed by CIO, from initial project design and requirements definition to final deployment- Document and organize project documentation, including change control- Work with multiple projects and project team stakeholders at any given time and effectively communicate about project status- Work collaboratively with IT team leads to manage resource requirements and allocation- Escalate project delays and budget over-runs immediately to the CIO - Organize the project portfolio and provide reports to communicate status, delivery, and other key updates- Manage the project management environment using the College's designated technology (currently Smartsheet)- Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to drive timely completion of IT projects- Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor Required Education Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution Other Required Qualifications - Four years project management experience in a customer support environment - Demonstrated experience using project management software tools- Five years experience in an information technology environment Desired Qualifications - PMP certification- Experience working in higher education- Ability to build and manage dashboards using Smartsheet for project status updates Skills and Specifications - Ability to work independently yet have a strong team orientation and to develop productive working relationships at all levels of the organization- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple team leads to manage different projects- Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills- Excellent communication and organizational skills- Excellent ability to reason and problem-solve; tosynthesize and communicate information that is very complex and encompasses an extensive, diverse, and rapidly changing body of knowledge- Ability to work effectively under pressure, using time efficiently and remaining focused on priorities- Well organized and goal-oriented - Commitment to the customer service role of the department - Strong collaboration skills- Ability to see, perceive color, depth, and texture- Commitment and respect for diversity, equity, inclusiveness and the MCC Behaviors of Excellence- Commitment to the College mission, vision, values, and goals - Ability to perform all of the essential functions, skills, and specifications of the position Location Main Campus
