Job Title Coordinator of Testing Center Department Enrollment Services FLSA Status Exempt Job Type Staff Position Grade 9 Employee Type Full Time Hiring Range Commensurate with experience Grant Funded No Work Year 12 Months Work Year-Other Information Typical Work Schedule 40 Hours - Flexible schedule to meet department needs  Bargaining Unit Eligibility Yes-Staff Council Work Week 40 Hours Work Week-Other Information Special Instructions to Applicants Position Introduction n/a Position Summary Manage the planning and implementation of services of the Testing Center  Reports to Director of Enrollment Services Essential Functions and Responsibilities -         Review, recommend, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate testing services for the College-         Manage all testing programs-         Establish and maintain associations with outside testing organizations, higher education testing organizations, and serve as a Test Administrator for all examinations offered in the Testing Center-         Remain current and proactive with testing trends and climate in higher education and adapt to technology and test format changes-         Order all required test materials to ensure timely delivery and meet deadlines for return of PBT exams-         Provide hands-on testing-         Plan test scheduling for all paper-based testing (PBT), computer-based testing (CBT), and Internet-based testing (IBT) -         Integrate online scheduling software, maintain database, and enhance registration services and options-         Train staff on new procedures, ensure staff is certified to proctor and/or administer all examinations, provide opportunities for professional development, and ensure staff provide outstanding customer service to all customers-         Attend annual national NCTA, state NITC, and vendor conferences as well as other appropriate meetings, workshops, and training-         Plan, schedule, and facilitate monthly staff meetings and other meetings as needed-         Serve as advocate, liaison, and primary resource for the Testing Center to faculty, students, staff and administration, and to all external groups (officials, vendors, colleges, etc.)-         Lead the development and maintenance of written policies, procedures, and guidelines-         Develop, implement, and review assessment plans-         Disseminate information through e-mails, correspondence, publications, web pages, etc. regarding services -         Assist in the management of the Testing Center budget and participate in annual fiscal year budget process-         Ensure accurate state and federal government reporting and provide various other reports as requested -         Serve on College committees-         Provide frequent direction to full-time and part-time staff and student workers in Testing Center-         Initiate communications and work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities-         Assist with May and December commencement ceremonies-         Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor-         Coordinate office coverage for all office hours including evening hours and Saturdays; adjust for absences to ensure proctoring services and exam security are not inhibited-         Consider integration of exams that support degree/certificate completion and promote student success-         Collaborate with Information Technology in planning and implementation of testing platform updates, equipment upgrades, and in consideration of integrating additional online exams-         Troubleshoot and resolve system issues relative to ERP and all testing platforms; coordinate resolution with Information Technology or test vendors-         Conduct testing information/update sessions at parent orientations, adjunct faculty orientations, and Faculty Council-         Initialize and coordinate efforts with Office of Marketing and Public Relations regarding any office or testing updates to post to social media and to inform students, staff, and faculty-         Prepare and present Testing Center Program Review-         Coordinate efforts with Regional Office of Education and Adult Education to support seamless progression for HSE students, particularly relative to testing completion and success-         Work collaboratively with Director of College and Career Readiness and Director of Enrollment Services in planning, integration, training, and placement testing in the high schools-         Oversee and update proctor and test administrator statuses for all exams both with internal staff and externally with high school testing personnel-         Evaluate Testing Center fees and revenue and report to administration to guide direction of test offerings and services-         Constantly monitor and preserve the integrity and security of all exams in the Testing Center; continuously expand knowledge of common cheating practices to reduce dishonesty and fraudulent testing-         Investigate opportunities for streamlining processes internally and externally Required Education Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution Other Required Qualifications -         Two years' detail-oriented customer service experience-         Three years' experience providing daily direction to others Desired Qualifications -         Testing Center experience-         College or university experience-         Bi-lingual skills Skills and Specifications -         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite-         Ability to learn technological applications and be proactive with advances in the industry-         Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills-         Sensitivity to students whose cultural and educational experiences differ from his/her own-         Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and to prioritize-         Ability to relate effectively with students, staff, and community members-         Self-directed, flexible with ability to work independently with little or no direction-         Ability to work under pressure with composure-         Strong customer service orientation-         Excellent leadership skills and ability to build an effective team-         Ability to make decisions that govern the activities of others and impact how the department provides services and support to customers-         Ability to acquire relevant certifications for Testing Center Services-         Ability to safely lift 40 pounds unassisted-         Commitment and respect for diversity, equity, inclusiveness and the MCC Behaviors of Excellence-         Commitment to the College mission, vision, values, and goals -         Ability to perform all of the essential functions, skills, and specifications of the position Location Main Campus
