Job Title Help Desk Specialist - Student Employee Department IT Employee Type Part Time Hourly Rate $11.00 Federal Work Study or Institutional Work Study Academic Term Fall Anticipated Schedule Hours will be determined upon the need of the IT department and the student employee's class schedule. 

Work Week 0-20 Hours Work Week-Other Information Application Review Begins Special Instructions to Applicants Position Introduction This student employment position is within our IT department.  Student Employment at MCC requires the following:

  • Background Check
  • Completion of New Employee Training
  • Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above - if this is your first semester at MCC, the GPA requirement is waived
  • If you qualify for Federal Work Study, you will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds

Position Summary Provides assistance in the IT department. Reports to Vice President of Huma Resources Essential Functions and Responsibilities Gather information and create Help Desk tickets. Assist customers with password resets, Wi-Fi, myMCC, Canvas or other technology assistance Required Education High School graduate or equivalent Other Required Qualifications Desired Qualifications Skills and Specifications Excellent English communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to sit, walk and stand up to 4 hours
Ability to use Microsoft Office Products.
Ability to use office equipment (fax, copier, etc) Location Main Campus
