Job Description

 

 

Under the general guidance of the Vice President, People & Culture the Administrative Project Coordinator provides administrative and project coordination support to the People & Culture organization. Leverages industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the People & Culture organization and the institution as well as supports culture development and management efforts.

 

 Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience providing administrative support to a multi-functional department and/or principals required.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.

 

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Professional in Human Resources preferred

  • Proficient and functional knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees departmental administrative support and supports operational excellence efforts including but not limited to departmental supply ordering, maintenance of departmental calendaring, scheduling, and specific functional support
  • Manages and maintains faculty qualifications and credentialing
  • Creates and maintains departmental spreadsheets as well as creates departmental presentations
  • Follows up with vendors as requested and/or needed
  • Processes unemployment claims
  • Oversees event planning falling within the purview of the P&C department
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned

 

Work Environment (Physical Demands):  The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
