The Department of Public Safety at the University of Southern Maine is seeking applications for a full-time Police Officer.
Police Officers at the University of Southern Maine are specialists, with a strong commitment to the community policing and problem solving philosophy. This is a 40 hour per week position on a schedule that is determined by unit seniority and shift bid, with overtime opportunities. Pay is $18.50/hr, or $21.00/hr if certified, plus shift and specialty differentials. Lateral entry pay may be considered under the current collective bargaining agreement.

If not certified, the successful candidate will be required to attend and complete the Mane Criminal Justice Academy's live-in, 18 week Basic Law Enforcement Training Program.
