NAU Personalized Learning is conducting a nationwide search for an clinical, non-tenure track faculty position for our Master of Computer Information Technology program. This is a 12-month remote position with the opportunity for renewal based on program success, the ability to provide students with the academic content and tools to succeed, and continued funding.
For rank of Assistant Clinical Professor: • An earned master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Technology disciplines. • A record of commitment to student success through effectiveness in teaching and other student-related responsibilities or the promise of such effectiveness if the candidate has no prior teaching experience and/or, where appropriate, demonstrated clinical competence in the relevant discipline. • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin. For the rank of Associate Clinical Professor: • An earned doctorate, or other terminal degree, in Computer Science or Computer Information Technology disciplines • A record of performance in the job-related responsibilities that shows substantial effectiveness in the role assigned, including a demonstrated commitment to student success through effective teaching and student-related activities. • The equivalent of six years (12 semesters) of college-level teaching or other relevant professional experience. Teaching outside of the academic year is credited only in the case of faculty members on fiscal-year (12-month) contracts. • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin. For the rank of Clinical Professor: • An earned doctorate in Computer Science or Computer Information Technology disciplines. • A demonstrated record of sustained excellence at the associate clinical professor rank in responsibilities related to the role assignment, including a demonstrated commitment to student success through effective teaching and other student related activities. • The equivalent of six years (12 semesters) of college-level teaching at the rank of associate clinical professor or other relevant professional experience. Teaching outside of the academic year is credited only in the case of faculty members on fiscal-year (12-month) contracts. • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
