We are seeking an exceptional colleague to join the Senior Management team of the University's School of Life Sciences.
About the role
Working closely with the Head of School and fellow Assistant Heads, you'll be an intrinsic part of the successful delivery the School's strategic plan.
This senior role involves the pro-active leadership and management of academic and technical colleagues to ensure our programmes are future-facing, innovative and stimulating for all of our students.

Each Assistant Head of School has a leadership portfolio, and in this role you will lead on championing health, safety and wellbeing, research and teaching laboratory infrastructure and further developing a positive and inclusive working culture within the School.
You will be an experienced academic colleague, with an established teaching and research/professional practice reputation in a relevant Life Sciences discipline, and you will be very familiar with all aspects of academic administration, particularly in respect of course and curriculum quality and development and research infrastructure.
You will already have experience of successfully managing people and broader resource management (budget, infrastructure etc), and you will act as role model for your immediate team and wider School colleagues in your evident passion and commitment to creating an outstanding experience for our students, within a collegiate and inspiring working environment.
