The School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, invites applications for a full-time 12-month non-tenure track position of Lecturer effective Fall 2021. Initial appointment will be for one year, and based on performance and availability of funds, the position is expected to be continued.
The position of full-time Lecturer includes the following duties:
The candidate must have at minimum a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering with comparable professional or teaching experiences in colleges. Preference is for candidates to have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Preferred: Demonstrated successful college-level teaching backgrounds, as well as experience mentoring young engineers; and demonstrated experience in student-centric interactive teaching styles (e.g., cooperative learning methods, flipped classrooms, etc.) as well as effective use of technology in the classroom.
