If you have experience working in HR and are passionate about developing employment opportunities for students, then this opportunity is for you! The University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for the position of Student Employment Coordinator in the Office of Human Resources.
USM student employment focuses on learning and seeks to connect work with academics, develop students' professional and leadership skills and provides opportunities to apply what students are learning to real-life situations. Student employment not only provides students with income through Federal Work-Study and other programs and grants, it contributes to student persistence and retention-meaning students who are engaged with on-campus work are more successful in their studies and are more likely to graduate.
The Student Employment Coordinator will work with Human Resources & Payroll, Student Financial Services and other USM departments to support and further develop a professional student-employment program by advocating for on-campus employment and internships, identifying challenges and opportunities in employment, coordinating programmatic initiatives and leading process improvement and other projects. The Coordinator will also work directly with students to help connect them to on-campus employment opportunities.

Annual salary: $45,000
