Job Description

The Division of Science and Mathematics at Graceland University seeks candidates for a Visiting Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate will hold an MS degree (Ed. D or Ph.D. preferred) in mathematics or statistics at the time of appointment. Duties include teaching mostly general education mathematics courses, such as College Algebra, Introduction to Statistics, Math for Elementary Education, etc. Depending on qualifications, the candidate may teach upper-level mathematics courses as well, Abstract Algebra, Numerical Analysis, etc. While teaching is the primary function of this position, other duties include, but are not limited to, mentoring students, serving on division and university committees, and continued professional development. Start date: August 2021. Review of application will begin May 14, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.
