POSITION: The Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport at Indiana State University is seeking applicants for a one year, full-time, visiting professor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate coursework in the program area of Coaching and Exercise Science.


Doctoral degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Coaching, or related field with specialization in motor learning, and/or pedagogy. Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the university level in the appropriate disciplines is desired.

Preferred - ACSM, CSCCa, or NSCA certifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Have a passion to teach graduate and undergraduates courses in Coaching and Exercise Science curriculums such as the Graduate and Undergraduate Motor learning, Fitness through the Lifespan, and Principles and Problems in Coaching. A successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with colleagues.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport is housed in the College of Health and Human Services. The Department offers nationally recognized Bachelors and Masters degrees with programs/concentrations/minors/certificates in Coaching, Dance, Exercise Science, Physical Education - Teacher Education, Recreation Management and Youth Leadership, Recreation Therapy, Sport Management, and Strength and Conditioning.
