The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications
for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position in Mechanical Engineering, beginning August 1, 2021. The successful candidate will teach a
Robotics course, as well as other core courses (Engineering Method, Engineering Calculations) and courses in their area of specialization.
We are particularly interested in applicants in the area of robotics, automation, and process control areas, especially those who will
advance initiatives in community-engaged or service learning, undergraduate research and other inquiry-based learning, and global and
Candidates will have opportunities to contribute to an interdisciplinary general education program and other
interdisciplinary majors and minors. Faculty work with students in a variety of state-of-the-art settings, including the Harting Electronics
Lab, Omron Design and Automation Lab, Molex Advanced Electronics Lab, Metrology Lab and our brand new, 6,000 square-foot Manufacturing
- Ph.D. is preferred. ABDs within one year of degree completion will be considered.

demonstrate a potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, as well as a commitment to scholarship that includes
collaborative research with undergraduates.
