The Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), invites applications for a one-academic-year (fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters) visiting assistant professor position starting in August 2021. The successful candidate is expected to teach a full load of four courses per semester. Higher rank candidates may be considered for this position.Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related area. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in controls, mechatronics, robotics, and engineering fundamentals within the First-Year Engineering program. Applicants for the position are required to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to provide outstanding classroom and laboratory instructions. Industrial experience is desirable, but not required.
