POSITION SUMMARY: The Moravian College Helen S. Breidegam School of Nursing and Public Health is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member to join our department. This position will add to a growing Nurse Practitioner program with three specialty pathways including Family Health Across the Lifespan, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. We invite candidates with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner to apply. This is a twelve-month, and renewable non-tenured position with promotion eligibility.


  • Participates in ongoing curriculum and course revisions with updates to reflect program outcomes, AACN essentials, professional accreditation standards, state board of nursing standards, current evidence and best practice.
  • Teaches graduate nursing students. Fosters student learning through a positive student-faculty relationship.
  • Collaborates with the clinical coordinator, clinical agencies, and faculty to optimize clinical education of graduate nursing students.
  • Applies evidence from best education practices to curriculum and new program development.
  • Contributes to the mission and strategic priorities of the College and School of Nursing and Public Health.
  • Participates in the nurse faculty organization and standing committees within the College and School of Nursing and Public Health.
  • Contributes to service at the College, profession, and community. Engages in clinical scholarship or research.

  • Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania or willing to obtain.
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Two or more years of clinical practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Evidence of successful didactic and clinical teaching experience.
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice degree preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues.
  • Experience with instructional media, technology, and the online learning environment.
  • Experience with simulation activities to enhance NP education
