Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
Located in the metro Atlanta area, the Department of Dance is the largest collegiate dance program in Georgia, employing 16 full/part-time faculty, and is housed in state-of-the-art dance facilities including metropolitan Atlanta's only Dance Theater. The Bachelor of Arts in Dance offers students the opportunity to develop a concentration in modern or ballet technique. The KSU Dance Company has been selected to represent southeastern universities in six National American College Dance Association festivals at the Kennedy Center. A study-abroad program in Israel with the Batsheva Dance Company allows students to study with world-class teachers and artists. Through a variety of academic and performance experiences, the Department of Dance at Kennesaw State University aims at preparing students technically and intellectually for the professional world of dance. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Assistant Professor of Dance, beginning August 2021. The Department of Dance seeks candidates who are passionate about teaching students in a performance-focused Bachelor of Arts program.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching all levels of Modern and Ballet courses
  • Instructing Choreography I and Dance Improvisation courses
  • Teaching assignments may include additional courses in an area of expertise
  • Institutional and professional services
  • Working with a diverse body of students, faculty, and staff
  • 4:4 teaching load
Required Qualifications
  • MFA, earned doctorate, or the foreign equivalent in dance
  • An established record of professional experience in the field and strong choreographic skills
  • Technical emphasis in Modern or Ballet technique
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two years of collegiate teaching experience
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
