The Warrior Community seeks a full time faculty member for the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences. This is a tenure-track position teaching face-to-face and online course delivery, and will be responsible for teaching cybersecurity courses that support the cybersecurity degree program; including developing and teaching courses in the field. The position includes teaching four courses per semester, advising students, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve the Institution's Strategic Plan.
Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining the cybersecurity lab space and equipment, designing and revising program curricula, delivering effective courses to meet learning outcomes, holding office hours, fulfilling service and professional development requirements, advising and fostering relationships with students, and actively participating in student recruitment and retention. The faculty member must support efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented students, serve on one or more committees, maintain academic records of courses to assist in specialized accreditation, support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology, and perform other duties assigned by the Dean.
Join our new projects with the expansion of the Zollner engineering building which includes a dedicated Cyber Security Operations Center, Student ran Data center, Network Operations Center, and a new Digital Forensics Lab/Crime scene. We also have a nationally known Cyber Warriors team that competes all around the nation at competitions ranking in the top 10 to 15 in the nation.
The successful candidate will also work closely with other programs in related areas. This is a full time, tenure-track, position teaching face-to-face and online course delivery over nine months. This faculty position reports to the Dean of the Engineering and Computer Sciences.
The preferred faculty member will hold an earned doctorate in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a highly related field.
College-level teaching experience is required. Master's degree with industry experience and/or certifications in the related fields may be considered. Faculty rank will be commensurate with academic credentials and experience.
