The University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for 2 full-time positions of Learning Space Specialist (LSS)  CL2 to work within the College of Science, Technology, and Health's Simulation and Inter Professional Education Facilities. This position reports to the Director of Simulation and IPE Facilities, who manages multiple learning labs on the Portland and Lewiston campuses that support programs in Nursing, Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Community and Public Health, and other associated disciplines.

The LRSC Learning Space Specialist participates as an integral part of the LRSC team to implement the day-to-day hands on functions of a dynamic Learning and Simulation Center.  The responsibilities of this position include the set up and take down of nursing education laboratories, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining basic healthcare equipment and participating in laboratory simulation scenarios. Other functions include assisting the Director of Simulation and IPE Facilities in the training and direction of work-study students as well as administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in field related to the academic discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than 2 years of related experience
