The Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time Policy Associate II: Child Welfare Workforce Development to support grant-funded initiatives.
This position will provide leadership and excellence in training to support a statewide initiative funded by Maine DHHS. The project team works to build the capacity of Maine's child welfare agency through high quality training design and delivery and policy revision. This position will provide training and facilitation as part of a dynamic team helping to support the state's child welfare workforce in effectively serving children, youth and families.
The Policy Associate II: Child Welfare Workforce Development will lead and deliver the foundational child welfare training within a region of Maine. The Associate will collaborate with OCFS staff. Fidelity to both the curriculum and consistency across the statewide training program are critical, requiring ongoing coordination with the full training team, OCFS staff, and evaluation/CQI staff. The Associate will prepare for each training cohort and coordinate and manage delivery. The Associate will incorporate a variety of delivery modalities and adult learning principles to ensure an active learning environment that is effective with various learning styles.
We are looking for applicants with demonstrated content expertise in state and national child welfare initiatives, training, and workforce development. This position will also bring knowledge of and direct experience with the development, design, delivery and quality assurance/program evaluation of training as well as project management skills. This position contributes knowledge to the field through writing & dissemination through publications and presentations. Some travel may be required.
