Position Title: Part-time Faculty - Nursing (AGACNP -NUR 643, 644) Fall 2021 Campus: All USM locations City, State: Portland, ME Department: School of Nursing - PCON Bargaining Unit: PATFA Statement of Job:

The School of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine invites candidates for a Part Time teaching position in the Graduate Nursing Department Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Track for the Fall 2021 semester.

Responsibilities associated with teaching at the graduate level includes providing course content to achieve student learning and program outcomes and also includes the evaluation of student performance within these courses that include adult gerontology acute care clinical practicum & seminar; and theory. 

This position will collaborate with the Faculty Coordinator of Graduate Nursing Education.

Part time faculty members are paid on a credit hour basis based on prior college teaching experience. In addition, USM employees have access to the library, Cigna Employee Assistance Plan, and fitness center(s) with their USM Card. USM also offers Part time faculty the opportunity for development frequently through our Center for Collaboration and Development (CCD), the chance to get an online teaching certification and training through CTEL, in addition to other developmental opportunities open to all staff throughout the year.

 

Qualifications:

Required Education and Certification:

Master of Science in Nursing with current Certification as Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with active and unencumbered license to practice.

Required Experience:

Minimum of one year full time practice experience as Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
