Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Social Policy within UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice. The UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Social Policy. The successful applicant will join a team of research active, and policy engaged academics delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules in social policy and public policy. This is a fixed term post for two years with the possibility of a one-year extension. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant social science discipline, as well as teaching and research experience in social policy or a related discipline (sociology, political science, economics). They will have the capacity to teach on the School's undergraduate and taught graduate courses in social policy and contribute high-quality research and publications in social policy. We welcome applications from candidates with teaching and research expertise in comparative social policy, social exclusion, inequality and social policy, labour market policy, and the politics of the policy process. We particularly encourage applicants with an ability to teach skills-oriented undergraduate modules using basic quantitative techniques.
