Job Summary

The school psychology programs are in the School of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Sciences in the College of Education and Human Sciences. There are 8 complimentary program areas in the School and approximately 40 faculty. The five core School Psychology faculty offer and are responsible for an APA­ accredited, NASP-approved Ph.D. program and a NASP-approved Ed.S. program. The program, based upon a scientist-practitioner training model, expects the successful candidate to demonstrate accomplishment in and influence students through research, teaching, and professional service within this model. Candidates with this point of view and experience as a practitioner are encouraged to apply. Small cohorts of fulltime students are admitted annually to the programs and there is an identifiable group of energetic, curious, and talented school psychology students resident on campus. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Responsibilities for this visiting faculty position include: 

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the School Psychology programs (e.g. assessment, intervention, consultation, and psychological foundations) with the possibility of some courses being taught on the Tulsa campus; 
  • Engaging in scholarly activities leading to grants, presentations, and publications related to the position; 
  • Recruiting, advising, and mentoring graduate students; and 
  • Directing theses and dissertations; 
  • Participating in committee service to the department, college, university, and community.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. / Ed.D. School Psychology from an APA-accredited program

  • Commitment to a scientist-practitioner model of training and practice
  • An active research program with evidence of potential for research productivity

Licensed or license-eligible through the Board of Examiners of Psychologists in Oklahoma. There is a School Psychology Center on-campus which affords opportunity for supervised post-doctoral experience to assist the new faculty member toward licensure if needed.
