Harris-Stowe State University, a teaching and research-oriented institution located in the diverse, vibrant, and culturally rich downtown area of St Louis, Missouri, is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Communications (Tenure Track).
An earned Ph.D./Doctorate in Communications, Journalism, Mass Communication, Speech, Mass Media or related field from a nationally accredited university or college, and at least two years of college teaching and classroom instructional technology experience.
The successful candidate must have experience in teaching historically disadvantaged populations, show a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and be prepared to teach a variety of communication courses. Also, a commitment to and effectiveness in classroom instruction are expected. Successful candidates will participate in faculty advising, teaching day as well as evening classes, and partake in other university-wide committee assignments.
