Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide, College of Aeronautics, Aviation English Program, invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure track faculty Director position at the rank of Associate Professor of the Practice. 

The Director will manage and oversee all aspects of a new and rapidly growing aviation English program, leading all aspects of program planning, development, and implementation. The Director's mission will be to ensure excellence in ERAU's aviation English program deliverables, upholding ERAU's reputation for high quality educational and training programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and managing new program opportunities

  • Responding to requests for proposal

  • Overseeing program quality control

  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Leading a team of ESL and aviation English specialist program coordinators, curriculum developers, aviation English instructors, and industry subject matter experts

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in TESL, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics

  • Familiarity with the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements

  • Experience teaching and developing curricula for Aviation English

  • Five or more years of experience in program management and strategic planning

  • Five or more years of experience managing stakeholders in aviation and/or STEM environments

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Experience in online instructional development and design

  • Experience partnering with aviation SMEs on training projects

  • Experience living and/or working in non-English-speaking countries
