Faculty 9-Month Tenure-Track Position The CAEP accredited Department of Education at Louisiana State University in Shreveport seeks
applications for Assistant Professor of Education.
This position would involve teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in
curriculum and pedagogy. Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and advising, and to working in an environment
that fosters diversity. They should also have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, the ability to work
collaboratively, evidence of scholarly activity, and a commitment to public higher education. Qualifications:
- Earned Doctorate degree in education at the time of appointment
- Minimum of three years of
K-12 teaching experience
- Qualified to teach both graduate curriculum and pedagogy courses
- Evidence of collaboration with
local school systems, community agencies and other professionals
- Evidence of the application of technology
- Experience with
data-driven instructional decision making and program evaluation
- Evidence of scholarly activities
- Background in Educational Technology/STEM/Math/Science/Computer Science Education
Math/Science certification (Grades 6-12)
- University teaching experience
- Knowledge of standard requirements: Interstate
Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC), Louisiana Teacher Preparation Competencies, and Council for the Accreditation of
Educator Preparation (CAEP) Standards.
