To be considered for the teaching professor position, candidates will have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing. A current, active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Ohio is required. The candidate must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of four years of experience in the practice of nursing. Candidates must be academically prepared in Adult Medical/Surgical nursing and/or have demonstrated clinical practice and expertise in Adult Medical/Surgical nursing. Two years of teaching in a university setting is preferred for candidates. Curriculum development in nursing education and experience with hybrid and online pedagogy is desired. Experience using simulation is a plus.
Candidates should possess excellent communication, strong organizational, and leadership skills. Preferred candidates display knowledge of current research and scholarship, that is supportive to the professional development of nursing. A commitment to community service, a commitment to cultural competence, and a current awareness of advances in technology to enhance the educational experience of students are preferred for candidates. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to identify these experiences in their application materials.
