Job Description

Midland University (Fremont, NE) is seeking an exceptional faculty member and visionary leader with experience teaching and working in the health professions. Teaching responsibilities will vary depending on expertise but could include a variety of courses from: Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength and Conditioning, Motor Learning, Care and Prevention or related fields. Highly qualified applicants will demonstrate the ability to think innovatively, foster an engaging teaching environment, and collaborate with partners internally and externally. Exceptional candidates with demonstrated leadership experience may also be considered for the Director of Undergraduate Health Sciences. The Director will work with the dean of Health Professions to drive strategic programmatic growth of high quality relevant academic programs.

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Health and Human Performance, Kinesiology or related health care field required; terminal degree preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching a variety of courses related to the health sciences
  • Relevant clinical practice
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students
  • Creating dynamic and relevant learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation; and an ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups
  • Knowledge of emerging practices and trends in education
  • Experience with leading continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Passion for developing students as professionals
  • Evidence of best practices in effective use of technology in health professions education
