Description:

The Department of Social Work invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor beginning August 2021. Primary responsibilities include teaching a broad range of undergraduate courses in traditional classroom and online formats. Typical teaching load is four courses per semester and may include Social Work Research, Professional Writing, Human Behavior in the Social Environment and Practice. Additional responsibilities include scholarship, advising, and University service.

Qualifications:

The candidate must hold an MSW degree with a Ph.D. preferred (ABD will be considered). Additionally, the candidate must have teaching experience and two years post-MSW practical experience. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience teaching in fully online and hybrid classroom environments and to applicants with teaching and scholarly experiences that align with the Methodist University commitment to fostering equity and inclusion in all of our university practices.
