We have an opportunity at the University of Southern Maine (USM) for applicants who understand our service promise of Student Focused Every Day to join our financial aid team as a Financial Aid Counselor/Coordinator of Special Projects.
The Financial Aid Counselor's primary responsibility is determining student's eligibility for financial assistance through review of applications and other pertinent data for further processing, analysis and packaging of assistance. The counselor will practice and adhere to policies and procedures to assure that all students interested in applying for financial aid are informed, advised and assisted in the process. Our Financial Aid Counselors help ensure that financial aid reflects a commitment to diversity and the inclusion of all students. Additionally, the Coordinator of Special Projects is responsible for coordinating outreach services, including workshops for open houses and other recruitment efforts as well as other projects.

Starting salary for this position is $41,481 (non-negotiable).
