Director of Patient Services 

BUFFALO, NY 

D’Youville invites highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented leaders to apply for a position as the Director of Patient Services. The Director of Patient Services is responsible for assisting in the execution of customer service and office administration at the Rehab and Wellness Center at the Healthcare HUB. The selected candidate will create and oversee front desk operations and other patient service-related tasks.   

D’Youville is launching a new Health Professions Hub to provide a healthcare clinic, educational and workforce development opportunities, and new connections to the surrounding neighborhood which includes a Rehabilitative and Wellness center.  Through a comprehensive and holistic approach to wellness, the Director of Patient Services will work closely with the inter-professional team. The multi-disciplinary team will include Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, and Speech Language Pathologists 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Greets all incoming patients and confirms patient information.  

  • Enters insurance and demographic data into practice management system.  

  • Maintains patient flow and monitors waiting area conditions.  

  • Performs registration procedures for new patients.  

  • Assists in collections, and account resolution of unpaid accounts. 

  • Generates reports and other documentation for patient charts. 

  • Assists in efficient flow of patients. 

  • Processes referrals and other paperwork for providers, collects co-payments and patient financial responsibilities and schedules follow up appointments. 

  • Creates and maintains patient charts and ensures data integrity. 

  • Provides administrative support.

Qualifications: 

3-5 years reception/registration experience in a medical office preferred and familiarity with Practice Management System or customer service experience with knowledge of HMO, PPO and other insurances. Experience with Medent system preferred.  Experience with Billing preferred.
