Billing Coordinator 

Health Professions Hub 


D’Youville invites highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented candidates to apply for a position as the Billing Coordinator.  The selected applicant will be responsible to assist in the execution of billing, collections and account resolution. 

D’Youville is launching a new Health Professions Hub to provide a healthcare clinic, educational and workforce development opportunities, and new connections to the surrounding neighborhood which includes a Rehabilitative and Wellness Center.  The Patient Care Representative will work closely with the inter-professional team which includes Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, and Speech Language Pathologists.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities   

  • Assists in billing and closing out daily charges. 

  • Manages and submits insurance authorizations.

  • Checks patient insurance benefits and eligibility. 

  • Follows up with insurance companies on outstanding claims. 

  • Generates reports and other documentation for patient charts and monthly reports. 

  • Assists office staff as needed.

3-5 years front office experience in a medical office preferred. 

Familiarity with Practice Management System or customer service experience with knowledge of HMO, PPO and other insurances. Experience with Medent system preferred.
