The Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for an appointment (non-tenure) stream faculty position at the rank of instructor or assistant professor to serve as a key member of the Nutrition and Dietetics team.
Responsibilities will include teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in the Nutrition and Dietetics program including development and oversight of graduate student research/capstone projects. The successful candidate is expected to teach classes that fulfill departmental needs and are within the candidate’s expertise area. Additional responsibilities will include participation in department, school, and university governance as well as scholarly activities, professional development, and service.
Required qualifications include a minimum of a master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field. An earned doctorate preferred. The successful candidate must also be a Registered Dietitian with licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or eligible. S/he must have previous experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching at the collegiate level.
