The incumbent for this 9 month, tenure track position will be primarily responsible for teaching agriculture plant and soil science courses with a full load (12 credit hours per semester) both at the undergraduate and graduate level; develop academic program and design innovative, attractive curriculum for agriculture majors; serve as an academic advisor for students; and participate in student recruitment and retention activities. The course assigned include, but no limited to, horticulture, soil quality, agronomic crops, etc. The incumbent is also expected to write extramural grants; conduct research in their expertise field; and publish in peer-reviewed journals through inter-institutional and inter-institutional collaborative effort; and any other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Ph.D. in agriculture plant and soil or related field, with teaching experience preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to conduct research. Effective and interpersonal communication skills and the willingness to work with diverse faculty and students are essential.
