Job Description

The Department of Ocean Engineering and Marine Sciences at Florida Tech seeks to hire a full-time or part-time Visiting Professor or Instructor with expertise in Naval Architecture for a one-year appointment in the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful candidate will teach formal courses and supervise junior and senior capstone-design student-project teams in the area of naval architecture.

Expected qualifications are a Master's or Doctoral degree in Ocean Engineering or Naval Architecture and an interest in pedagogy. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and the appointment may be renewed for a second year.

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
