Working Title: Assistant Professor in Nursing

Min T/E Requirements

All candidates should hold a minimum of a master's degree in nursing. Preference will be given to those who either have or are working toward earning a doctoral degree in nursing or related field. The applicant must hold a license as a registered nurse in North Carolina before employment. Candidates should have academic experience appropriate for rank and a minimum of two years clinical practice experience. Competency in online instruction and two years teaching experience is preferred.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time tenure track faculty position. The UNCP nursing program is expanding in scope and size allowing an increase in the number of tenured track faculty positions. Educational preparation and clinical expertise in maternal child, mental health, and/or community health nursing preferred. An individual in the position may teach in pre-licensure BSN, RN-BSN, and/or Graduate nursing programs during the academic year and summer session. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Management Preference

Educational preparation and clinical expertise in maternal child, mental health, and/or community health nursing preferred. Terminal degree preferred; MSN degree required.

Lic or Certification required by statute or regulation

Unrestricted RN license in the state of North Carolina
