Compensation: To commensurate with level of education and experience

Job Description: The Liberal Arts - BS/SS at Mayville State University is seeking applicants for a full-time special appointment, non-tenure track position as Instructor/Assistant Professor of Psychology beginning August 18, 2021. Consideration may be given to move to a tenure-track position including potential tenure credit for prior years of service depending upon credentials and experience. The teaching duties would include general Psychology coursework including and not limited to Group Dynamics, Behavior Modification and Therapy, Applied Psychology, Social Psychology, Human Sexuality, Readings in Psychology, Health Psychology, Theory of Learning and Management, Educational Assessment, Physiological Psychology, or other courses within the department depending on candidate qualifications and interests as well as departmental needs. Courses are delivered via multiple modalities (IVN, online, hybrid, face-to-face). Other duties include academic advising, committee work, monitoring internships, advising student behavioral science organizations and other division responsibilities as assigned.

  • Demonstrated high level of teamwork/cooperation/collaboration, initiative, customer service and organizational skills

Minimum qualifications:

  •  Ability to work flexible hours, some early morning, evenings and weekend hours are required
  • Master's degree in Psychology or closely related field

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or related field, or industry certification
  • 3 years full-time teaching experience at postsecondary institution
  • Experience with a variety of course delivery methods to include online instruction/development, Blackboard, TEAM
  • Demonstrated leadership and community service
