Job Description

The Director of Theatre is responsible for artistic vision and implementation of co-curricular theatre production and instruction at Tabor College. Responsibilities include stage direction for a minimum of two productions per year (musical each fall) and additional theatre productions as faculty load allows; shared technical directing duties with the Director of Video Streaming; teaching theatre-related courses such as Stagecraft, acting, and directing; active recruiting of new students to the college to participate in theatre/arts programming; hiring personnel for and supervising all matters of production for each performance; and willingness to engage students boldly with respect to their faith journey and vocational development.

Master's degree required; MFA preferred. Ability to teach musical theatre voice lessons and direct the Theatre of Voices ensemble strongly preferred. The successful candidate must show evidence of ability to teach and direct at the undergraduate level and possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both internally and externally. A creative approach to innovation and program development highly desired. Commitment to teaching in the context of a Christian liberal arts college is essential.

Commensurate with faculty salary scale.
