Then read on - the University of Southern Maine (USM) seeks applicants for two newly created Career Liaisons in the Career & Employment Hub to focus on workforce and career engagement with students, faculty and local employers.
The Career Liaison position is a primary point of contact between the Career & Employment Hub. Each Liaison has a designated academic unit(s) and is responsible for working closely with strategic partners and creating a culture of collaboration among a variety of stakeholders. Our Career Liaisons will develop successful partnerships that connect employers, students, alumni, to the academic unit and the Career & Employment Hub. These positions will work with employers and potential employers to identify and increase career-related experiential learning opportunities, e.g. coops, internships, volunteer, and employment.
USM's Career & Employment Hub assists our diverse student population with a variety of services, from their first day on campus and for years after they graduate. We support USM students through guidance on career exploration, self-assessments, resume and cover letter development, the internship search, interviewing skills, and more. We help USM students identify and cultivate their interests and strengths and connect them with opportunities to acquire the knowledge, experiences, and relationships necessary to become workforce-ready and achieve employment that aligns with their goals.

Bachelor's or equivalent international degree with a minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in Career Advising, Human Resources, Job Placement or similar experience or a comparable combination of post high school education and experience
Pay & Benefits: The University of Southern Maine provides a highly competitive benefits package that includes: Paid Time Off (Holidays, Vacation, & Sick), Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance, Tuition Waiver Program for Employee & Dependents, a 403(b) Retirement Plan, and more. Starting salary $45,040 (non-negotiable).
Location: These positions will be based on our USM Campuses with the expectation of a flexible schedule, depending on need, and potential in-state travel.
