As Allen University continues to evolve into
the best HBCU in South Carolina, we are seeking dedicated faculty to join us in pursuit of All That Can Be Imagined. This position is
responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the Chair of the Department. Must evaluate and report student performances and progress in
courses in accordance with university policies and procedures. Must meet Minimum Faculty Standards for hire and adhere to university
policies and procedures. The faculty member will promote, develop, and deliver quality education programs with the intent to retain students
to graduation and access student learning outcomes each term. Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in
Elementary Education.Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Elementary Education or closely related discipline.
Experience teaching at college/university level. Online teaching experience/training and/or certification. Successful teaching experience at
the P-12 level. Someone with the capacity for and a background in leadership is desired.Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office
equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk
and hear, and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal
supervision, high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills with the teaching and learning process, and high level of inter-personal
skills is preferred. Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check.Typical Working Conditions:
Faculty are expected to facilitate instruction utilizing a variety of formats including but not limited to traditional, hybrid, remote and
online. Faculty must maintain a classroom environment, which is conducive to student learning.
