The School of Art and Design and Performing Arts Division seeks a dynamic artist and arts educator for a full time, three-year professor of practice position beginning the 2021-22 academic year.

The School of Art and Design and Performing Arts Division seeks an enterprising individual who will activate and coordinate diversity initiatives through curricular and co-curricular programming. The successful candidate will become part of a progressive, distinguished, and nationally recognized visual and performing arts program and will have the opportunity to develop programing and curricula, in collaboration with students, staff, and faculty. We seek an arts educator with a wide range of experience and practices in the arts. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals who are members of groups that historically have been underrepresented in the arts.

Program Information:
The School of Art and Design is made of seven divisions: Art History; Ceramic Art; Drawing, Painting and Photography; Expanded Media; Foundations; Sculpture/Dimensional Studies. The Performing Arts Division is made of four departments: Music, Theatre, Dance and Performance Design and Technology. The eight divisions report through division heads and chairs to the Dean. There are forty-six full-time faculty and twenty-three staff and four hundred students.
The divisions are committed to evolving our program and curricula to foster equity, inclusion, and social justice. We are a community dedicated to learning as well as teaching, and we (actively and intentionally embrace the) diversity of ideas and experience as key components of our student centered program.

As practitioners, researchers and scholars, faculty members foster depth of discovery and life-long learning.
