Job Summary and Requirements: Global Health - Job Ad, Epidemiologist
(2020- 2021) Denison University. The Global Health Program invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Instructor or Professor
beginning August 2021. Candidates with a MPH or PhD in hand are preferred. Candidates who are ABD will be considered.
The
following specializations are preferred: -MPH or PhD in Global Health with a specialization in Epidemiology -MPH or PhD in Public Health
with a global focus on Epidemiology -MPH or PhD in Epidemiology with a global focus -MPH or PhD in Biostatistics with a global health focus
This position requires an epidemiologist whose work is both empirically rigorous and methodologically sophisticated. The candidate must show
commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching and engage with undergraduate students. The ability to teach within the interdisciplinary Global
Health curricula and a strong commitment to liberal arts education are necessary. Candidates should be able to teach an epidemiology course
with a lab, a Global Health methods course, and an interdisciplinary introductory course on Global Health. The teaching load will be 4
courses per year, 2 courses per semester (Fall and Spring) with one lab course each semester. Denison offers extensive support for visiting
faculty, including professional development funds for a conference presentation, opportunities for student-faculty research collaboration,
and a range of workshops and mentoring programs to develop our faculty strengths as teacher-scholars. Completed applications received by
