Description: King University, a private, comprehensive university founded in the Presbyterian tradition, is seeking a
qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting in the School of Business, Economics &
Technology. This is a full-time, twelve-month position, beginning in Fall 2021. This position is based at King's Bristol campus in the
beautiful foothills of northeast Tennessee. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
- PhD or DBA in Accounting
- Applicants with MAcc and CPA will be considered
least 5 years of full-time teaching experience
- Qualified applicants will
possess a terminal degree in accounting with qualification to teach accounting courses.
- Candidate will be expected to teach 3 courses (12 credit hours) each semester.
- Candidate is expected to teach accounting
courses, advise students, and participate in departmental and university service. Responsibilities include teaching spring and fall
semesters with the option of summer term, in a mix of undergraduate and graduate accounting courses. These include both face-to-face and
- Instructor must be willing to provide a high level of student outreach and have the availability to connect with
students, academic advisors and team leaders on a frequent basis. An instructor must also be engaging, offering an increased and innovative
presence in the face-to-face or online classroom to best serve the student and facilitate student success. The instructor should expect to
provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades.
